How this all works


Whilst most people can probably figure out how this website works, I know full well that there are plenty of people who were not blessed to have been brought up with all this technology and it is for those people I would like to explain:

The menu bar below the picture on the top of this page is where you will have found this page. You can browse through all the options safely, as every page will have the same menu, and to return to the main page, you simply click: Home

On the home page you will see the most recent post that was written, with most likely a story accompanied with some photos and a photo-album underneath like the example picture below:

The photo-album is displayed as one big picture with little pictures (thumbnails) underneath like the example picture on the left. It will automatically show a slideshow of all the pictures If you would like to browse the pictures in your own time, you can click the pause button and click on the individual thumbnails to see that picture enlarged. To browse through the thumbnails quickly you can click on the double arrows either side of the thumbnails to go to the next page of thumbnails. You can also click on the single arrow on the right or left to browse the pictures individually .The best way to see this photo album is to click on the full screen button on the far right (next to the pause button).

If you want to leave a comment after you have read a post or seen the pictures, click on the ‘leave a comment link’ like the example picture on the left. Or, if you have a facebook account, you can also use the facebook comment like it is shown at the bottom of this post

On the ride side menu underneath the map, is an area where you can enter you email address (like the example picture on your right). If you enter your email address in the box and click subscribe, you will automatically receive an email when I have written a new post.

Below this on the right side menu are links to the most recent posts, which are typically named after the country or area I’ve visited and wrote about. You can click on any of these links to read the story, and click Home at the top of the page to get back to the main page. Alternatively, you can click on the continentcountry link in the menu bar at the top of the page.

Underneath the most recent post in the right side menu are categories, which are typically the continent, country andor town I’ve visited, which you can click to see all the post I’ve ever written on that continent, country anor town.

After the categories in the right side menu, is a search box with a little magnifying glass next to it (like the example picture on the left) . Type in any word or sentence you are looking for on my website and click on the magnifying glass let my website search for what you are looking for.

At the very bottom in the right side menu is a log in menu (like the example picture on the right), you can register here, or log in here once you have registered, which allows you to leave comments on any posts.
